Keto steak sandwich with kohlrabi chips
1 free range 100g fillet steak
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 Palena Fresh roll
I tomato sliced
4 slices cucumber
4 slices small heirloom beetroot
4 slices thinly red onion
Handful of leaves
2 tbsp Good fat mayo (available at Low Carb Emporium)
Slice of jalsberg cheese
Olive oil spray.
Turn your oven on 180 degrees and then peel kohlrabi and slice thinly either by hand or on a mandolin. Line a baking tray and spread slices out and spray with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and cook for 10 minutes and then turn over and cook again for another 10 minutes. Keeping an eye on them so they don’t burn. Once cooked sprinkle with salt for serving.
Season your steak on both sides with salt and pepper, then heat olive oil in a fry pan and place fillet in it and cook for 3 minutes on eat side. Meanwhile toasting your roll. Rest your steak for 3 minutes and place cheese on top so it will melt. Let’s start assembling your roll. Brush both sides with mayo and take bottom side and layer leaves, cucumbers, onions and tomatoes then place fillet on top and place roll top on top.
Serve beside kohlrabi chips. Enjoy. X
